ScanDocs Premier Edition is Now Available!

Muratec is pleased to announce the availability of ScanDocs Premier Edition.

ScanDocs Premier is a simple, easy-to-install document management system that enables users to quickly and easily index, search and retrieve:

• Hardcopy documents that are scanned from a Muratec MFP to a PC hard-drive or network folder.
• Existing electronic documents (such as Microsoft Office docs, PDF's, etc.). Over 200 file formats are supported!!
• E-mails and e-mail attachments.

How does it work?

1. Client installs the ScanDocs client on their PC.
2. After the client is installed the user opens the ScanDocs configuration tool. They can simply add the folders that they wish to monitor and ScanDocs does the rest.
3. When the user wants to search for a documents they simply open the ScanDocs search tool, which mirrors a Google search, and enters the search term. ScanDocs does the rest.
4. Anytime a new document is added to the folder, or an existing document is modified, ScanDocs will update it's database.

It's that easy!

Muratec Recieves "First in Class" Award at the 26th Annual Cannata Awards Dinner

Muratec was honored to receive the "First in Class" award at the 26th Annual Cannata Awards dinner on October 16th. The "First in Class" award is presented annually to the manufacturer who "achieved a high level of excellence in supporting the sale of MFP devices through an independent dealer channel.”

The award was presented to Muratec by Frank Cannata, President, Marketing Research Consultants, and Ben Russert, CEO, ProSource, one of the most recognized office equipment dealerships in North America.

As always the team at Marketing Research Consultants put on a tremendous event and raised over $100,000 for the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center. I can say with confidence that Frank Cannata is the only person in our industry who can call a cease-fire and bring together competing manufacturers, leasing companies and dealers for a night of fun, food and charity.

It was great to see so many of our dealer partners, business associates and competitors under one roof. We’d like to extend a special thank you to Tony Nami, Mike and Mary Dominick, Jim Fuchs and Paul Shulman for joining us at the Muratec table for the event.

MFX-3530 and MFX-3590 Recognized by Buyers Lab

What a month!

September 2013 was an exceptional month for Muratec. Our MFX-3510, MFX-3530 and MFX-3590 continue to gain traction and we capped off the month by receiving a "Recommended" rating and "Certificate of Reliability" from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI).

What really stood out for us was that both the MFX-3530 and MFX-3590 completed the BLI 50,000 impression lab test without a single misfeed. BLI was also impressed with both devices usability, scanning performance, feature set and paper capacity.

Not to brag, but we also rocked the toner yield test (achieving a higher yield than our published rating)!

Muratec Completes A4 Monochrome Product Line Refresh with the Launch of the MFX-3590

The MFX-3590 features 37 page-per-minute simplex output, 10 page-per-minute duplex output, 80-sheet duplexing automatic document feeder (DADF), legal-size platen glass, 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port, local USB port, direct USB host port (print from / scan to USB flash drives), 512-MB memory, 33.6 Kbps fax modem and 600x 600 dpi color scanner.

The patented duplexing automatic document feeder enables two-sided color scanning in a single path.

Muratec Launches the MFX-3091

 

Compact, High-Performance Monochrome MFP for the Workgroup

 

Plano, Texas (July 3, 2013) - Muratec America, Inc., manufacturer of multifunction office equipment and business-class document solutions, announces today the availability of the MFX-3091, an A4 monochrome multifunction device that delivers exceptional PC printing, copying, faxing and color scanning to the workgroup.

“The MFX-3091 is a strategic product for Muratec as it allows us to deliver multifunction performance to workgroups that require printing, scanning and faxing, however are sensitive to device acquisition costs,” said Jim D’Emidio, President, Muratec America, Inc. “The MFX-3091 is key to our managed document services strategy as it enables dealers to cost-effectively replace stand-alone printers with a device that offer business-critical solutions such as scanning and faxing.”

The MFX-3091 offers 4-in-1 multifunction performance including PCL 6 and PostScript 3 printing, copying, faxing and color scanning. The device ships with a 50-sheet reversing automatic document feeder (RADF), 35 page-per-minute print output, duplex printing, 150-sheet output tray and 256-MB of device memory. The MFX-3091 is a convenient desktop scanning solution and enables users to scan documents to an e-mail address, PC folder or FTP location. The 48-bit color scanner offers an enhanced scanning resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and supports scanning into TIFF, PDF, Encrypted PDF, XPS and JPEG file formats.

The device features a standard 250-sheet paper cassette (16 – 32 lb. weights supported) and 100-sheet multipurpose bypass tray, which can support media weights of 16 - 43 lb. An optional 530-sheet paper cassette (3091CAS) can be installed, bringing the total paper capacity to 880-sheets. A paper cabinet (C2700CAB) is available to create a free standing MFP solution and enables the convenient storage of empty imaging supply boxes (to enable the return of used supplies for recycling), unused imaging supplies and both specialty and plain paper.

The MFX-3091 ships with a standard 33.6 Kbps fax modem and includes PC-faxing, T.37 Internet faxing,  (100) location speed dial directory, group dialing (up to 20 groups can be registered), broadcasting and transmission confirmation reports.

MFX-3510 Firmware Upgrade

The MFX-3510 firmware has been upgraded and the product now supports manual duplex scanning in the Copy and Scan modes. Once enabled, this mode allows users to scan two-sided documents through the automatic document feeder. After the first side of the document(s) has been scanned, the user will be prompted to turn the documents over and reposition them in the ADF. The MFX-3510 will then scan the back side of the document(s) and complete the job.
